Okay, so I forgot to tell you guys about this dream I had the other night.
It was basically a Hunger Games/Walking Dead crossover where all the TWD characters lived in Panem and were all in the age bracket to chosen as tributes. Merle volunteered to go in the arena in Daryl’s place. Merle and I become allies in the arena, and halfway through the dream sassycharmander joined us.
...
I wish there was more of an acknowledgement in the last episode of The Walking Dead that Merle did actually attempt to help the group.
There had better fucking be more Merle-talk in season 4. That’s all I’m gonna say on the matter.

why the fuck didnt merle cut through the chain of the handcuff
in “Vatos”, Daryl guesses that the hacksaw was too dull to cut through the metal chain of the cuffs. Merle’s only other option was to cut off the hand.
My personal headcanon is that he first tried for several minutes to saw through the chain, thus making the saw dull...
